Conception Calculator
Please
select the child's date of birth: MM/DD/YYYY
Fairfax Identity Laboratories is pleased to offer you this
calendar to determine the most probable date of conception.
While it is difficult to pinpoint the exact day of conception,
the calculator will provide the date of conception within
one month for babies born at full term (a range of plus or
minus two weeks).
The exact date of conception may differ from the date of
intercourse. Conception can occur up to six days or more
after intercourse. The egg is only viable for about 24 hours,
but sperm can stay viable in the cervical mucus for up to
six days. If a woman has regular cycles, the time of conception
usually can be pinpointed to within a week or two. If they
are irregular, the conception date becomes more uncertain.
Ultrasound examinations performed during early pregnancy
usually are able to predict gestational age and probable
date of conception to within one week.
